Water jet cutting

We are an established enterprise in the fields of industrial and municipal wastewater and manufacture of mechanical cleaning systems such as screenings washing systems, sand washers or drum sieves.
Here stainless steel sheet metals are processed to a large extent, these are cut in our water jet cutting machine.

What is water jet cutting?

With water jet cutting a bundled water stream, which is produced by a high-pressure pump (~ 4,000 bar), is directed toward the material to be cut. The velocity of the water jet is approx. 750 m/s (2.5 times the speed of sound).

Using the water jet diverse materials with thickness up to 150 mm on a working of surface of 4 x 2 m can be cut.

The material to be cut is fixed to a table and the nozzle cuts along the programmed outlines.

The two types of water jets:

The pure water jet only cuts with water, the kerf width amounts to approx. 0.1-0.4 mm. This technology is used particularly for soft materials such as rubber or foam.


With abrasive water jet cutting fine-grained abrasive materials are added to the water jet, this improves the cutting effect substantially. The kerf width is in the range of approx. 0.5-1.5 mm and it can cut hard materials such as granite, steel or glass.

By means of a dxf file the cutting outlines can be programmed on the machine.
