The externally fed TanFlow drum screen is characterized by its robust and simple design. The small footprint allows use in confined spaces. It is widely used where it is necessary to separate larger liquid flows of solids, regardless of whether they are industrial or municipal treatments. Even oily and greasy media can be separated.
Function
The process or wastewater is passed through an inlet pipe on the sieve drum surface. The fluid flows through the drum, first from the outside then to the inside. Solids larger than the selected wedge wire opening settle on the surface. Due to the uniform rotation of the drum it is transported to a scrapper, where the careful separation of the solids occurs. After the separation, the purified liquid once again flows through the drum, this time from the inside to the outside and then flows through an outlet drain.
